Description of HD-100 Hexamidine Diisethionate
hexamidine diisethionate is a water-soluble broad-spectrum cationic antimicrobial agent against bacteria, mold and yeast. HD-100 is increasingly used in cosmetic industry because it is a multi-effect preservative and skin sterilant. Hexamidine has strong microbicidal activity: ①Gram positive bacteria: Staphylococcus, Sarcina, Streptococcus, Corynebacterium, Propionibacterium, Bacillus; ②Gram negative bacteria: E. coli, Proteus, Klebsiella, Salmonella, Serratia, Pseudomonas; ③Fungus: Aspergillus, Penicillium, Actinomycetes. It can be used for sterilization, acne removal, antidandruff and antipruritic, preservative, and disinfection products.
