Latest company news about Study of tyrosinase inhibiting activity of 3-O-ethyl-L-ascorbic acid

Tyrosinase performs action for catalytic oxidation of L-tyrosine and L-dopa to form melanin.Inhibiting activity of 3-O-ethyl-L-ascorbic acid as well as some common used skin whitening agents was determined by absorbance photometry for valuation and comparison. Results showed that activity of 3-O-ethyl-L-ascorbic acid against capacity of tyrosinase to oxidize L-tyrosine forming melanin achieves 80.8%, higher than Vitamin C(inhibition 68.5%).Activity of 3-O-ethyl-L-ascorbic acid against capacity of tyrosinase to oxidize L-dopa forming melanin achieves 89.1%.IC50 of 3-O-ethyl-L-ascorbic acid is 0.15 mmol/L.
